After writing “Jopping,” I definitely studied a lot of K-pop music and did my homework because I knew nothing about it beforehand. So as I was writing my new music, I started thinking about what kinds of melodies and bridges I could incorporate from K-pop and how I could make them my own — I’m singing on this project, which is something I never thought I’d do. As for an example, I think the most K-pop-sounding song would be “Go With the Flow.” But, in the sense of how Korean music is formatted, I would say “Bright” is the one I formatted with the K-pop structure in mind because it’s one of the only songs with bridges that lead into the hook and have little beat breakdowns.Teen Vogue fw8148 is so inspiring. Watching her get into her performance serves as a reminder that you, too, can psyche yourself up for anything you set your mind to. At the very least, it will at least make you laugh a lot.
