For example, don't assume that because someone has been arrested, that somebody actually did commit a crime or that whatever happens to them they deserve. Like, “If you didn't steal that car, you wouldn't find yourself in this horrible cage where you're being brutalized on a regular basis.” There has to be a way for us to manage our various social issues without resorting to a kind of cold and flip brutality.
